Francie’s Youth Piano Competition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging the continued growth and development of young pianists living in the Sierra Vista area.

This competition was established by Francilia Schofield in 2006 to inspire and award our local piano students for their hard work and to encourage them at their tender age to persevere with their music studies.

The annual event is presented in conjunction with the Cochise Music Teachers Association. Competitors are judged based on their stage presence and individual performances, which include key aspects such as rhythm, speed, memory, articulation and expression.
